Installation

Download and install the Cizgen plugin for AutoCAD on Windows.

Cizgen installs as a plugin bundle for AutoCAD. The installer only adds the plugin to AutoCAD — the assistant itself runs from the cloud, so there is nothing else to configure.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD 2025 or 2026 (Windows, 64-bit)
  • The Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (the panel renders inside it). AutoCAD 2024 and newer generally include it; the installer checks and offers to install it if it is missing.

Install

Download the installer

Get Cizgen-Setup.exe from the Download page.

Run the installer

Double-click Cizgen-Setup.exe and follow the wizard. You can install:

  • For you only — no administrator rights needed.
  • For all users — requires administrator rights.

If the WebView2 Runtime is missing, the installer will point you to it. You can let it open the download page and still finish the installation.

Restart AutoCAD

Close and reopen AutoCAD so it loads the newly installed plugin. Cizgen loads automatically at startup.

Open the panel

At the AutoCAD command line, type CIZGEN and press Enter. The Cizgen panel appears. See Opening Cizgen for details.

After installing, keep Cizgen up to date. When a newer version is available, the panel shows an update banner with a Download button. See Updating Cizgen.

Advanced: loading the plugin manually

Most users never need this. If your organization blocks auto-loading plugins, you can load Cizgen by hand in AutoCAD:

  • Use NETLOAD and select the installed Cizgen.dll, or add it to your Startup Suite via APPLOAD.
  • If AutoCAD refuses to load it for security reasons, add the install folder to your trusted paths (TRUSTEDPATHS) or set SECURELOAD to 0 for the session.

Once loaded, type CIZGEN to open the panel.
