Updating Cizgen
How Cizgen tells you when a newer plugin version is available and how to update.
The Cizgen assistant runs from the cloud and is always current, but the plugin installed in AutoCAD is updated by you. Cizgen tells you when there's a newer version.
The update banner
When a newer plugin version is available, a compact banner appears at the top of the panel: "Update available: v X.Y.Z" with a Download button.
To update:
Download the new installer
Click Download in the banner. The latest Cizgen-Setup.exe opens in your browser.
Run it
Run the installer as you did the first time. See Installation.
Restart AutoCAD
Restart AutoCAD so it loads the updated plugin.
You can dismiss the banner with the × to hide it for the current session; it will show again next time if you're still on an older version.
Only the stable release shows update notices. If a check can't be made — no connection, or a development build — no banner appears, so you're never nagged by mistake.
