Troubleshooting
Fixes for the most common issues — the command not working, a blank panel, and sign-in trouble.
Most problems fall into a few categories. Here's how to resolve them.
"CIZGEN" isn't recognized, or the panel won't open
AutoCAD hasn't loaded the plugin.
- Restart AutoCAD after installing — the plugin loads at startup.
- If your organization blocks auto-loading, load it manually with
NETLOAD(select the installedCizgen.dll) or add it to your Startup Suite viaAPPLOAD. - If AutoCAD refuses for security reasons, add the install folder to
TRUSTEDPATHS, or setSECURELOADto0for the session.
See Installation.
The panel is blank or won't render
The panel needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.
- Install the WebView2 Runtime (the Cizgen installer offers this too), then restart AutoCAD.
- Confirm you have an internet connection — the panel loads from the web.
I can't sign in
- Sign-in opens a Google window; if a pop-up was blocked, allow pop-ups and try again.
- Make sure you have a working internet connection.
- If it still fails, close and reopen the panel and retry.
See Signing in.
The Send button is disabled
- You may be signed out — sign in first.
- You may be out of credits — top up. See Running out of credits.
A change didn't apply
- Make sure you approved the preview (Enter), not rejected it (Esc). See The approval gate.
- If a preview was interrupted, Cizgen may offer to clean up leftover preview layers — accept it. See Undo and recovery.
