Which apps work with it?
Any MCP host. Claude Desktop gets a one-click installer; Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code get a copy-paste config — and anything else that speaks MCP works the same way.
What do I need?
Windows with AutoCAD 2025–2026, the Cizgen plugin (free download), and an MCP host. The npx-based setups also need Node.js 20+ — Claude Desktop's installer doesn't.
Do I need the Cizgen panel too?
No, but the same plan covers both. Pro includes Cizgen MCP and a monthly credit allowance for the in-app panel — use either or both; the plugin install is shared.
Is my drawing uploaded anywhere?
Not to Cizgen — the server is local and cizgen.app is only contacted to verify your plan. What the AI reads goes to your AI provider through your chat app, like anything else you discuss there.
Does MCP use my Cizgen credits?
No. Through MCP the model runs in your own AI app, so no Cizgen credits are spent — the plan's monthly credits are for the in-app panel. Billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy and you can cancel any time.
